Pariah Interactive is an independent game studio founded by Prashast Thapan, focused on creating surreal games about real life.

History

Early history

Fueled by his love for video games and with a background in graphic and interactive media design, Prashast Thapan set out to create a XR development and independent game studio. After working in animation and design for companies like MTV and Vice, he founded Pariah Interactive in Brooklyn, New York City, in 2019. The vision was straightforward—tell the story of the outcasts. Pariah began taking on interactive AR and VR projects for contemporary artists, spearheading the creative direction for the digital elements of various projects. The company began to grow over the next few years, eventually expanding into a full team headquartered in Brooklyn with a remote team across different cities in India. Simultaneous to various XR projects, Pariah began working on their first in-house project, 1000 Deaths. 1000 Deaths is a gravity-bending adventure platformer, with episodes featuring branching stories and multiple endings. 1000 Deaths released on Steam on 7 August 2025.
