Apni’s Alaap is a single-channel video installation by artist Surabhi Saraf, portraying Apni: a fluid, self-defined kinmaker who listens across time and memory, weaving voice, body, and ancestral echoes into a meditative exploration of identity, belonging, and self-connection.
Apni’s Alaap is a six-minute single-channel video that centers on Apni, a “kinmaker” and quantum listener whose identity remains fluid, relational, and expansive. The work unfolds as a meditative performance in which Apni gathers sensations from both inner and outer worlds, moving slowly through layered temporalities of memory, spirit, and embodiment. Artist and creator Surabhi Saraf approaches this work as a means of processing personal and collective transformation.
